Tissue Typing Systems (UK) Ltd is an independent software vendor based in the United Kingdom that specialises in software and services in the field of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (H&I). H&I is perhaps more commonly known as tissue typing which is the process that has to be undertaken in order that patients requiring solid organ or bone marrow transplants can find a suitably matched donor.
TTS (UK) is classed as an essential supplier to the UK's NHS Blood & Transplant Service for its continuing support and maintenance of a number of legacy systems.
TTS (UK) was established in 2006 to provide
support and maintenance to a number of systems used in front line services by
the UK's NHS Blood & Transplant Service. The Technical Director of TTS (UK),
Neil Jellis, had been managing the support of those systems since 2000 whilst
working for another company.
In addition to providing that support it began working on
Manzen,
a new tissue typing solution for laboratories that was launched, in
association with Quest Biomedical,
at the BSHI Conference for 2008 in Bath,
England.
